FAQ Covid-19 Reschedule

What is happening?
Hibanacon Discovery 2020 is offically being postponed and will no longer be running in November 2020.

 

Why is the event being postponed?
After examining all the options and extensive discussions, the committee have concluded that it would not be possible to run the convention safely whilst complying with the Covid-19 guidance and still maintain the experince you've come to expect from Hibanacon.

 

What is the new date for Hibanacon Discovery?
12th - 14th November 2021

 

What do I need to do?
If you have already bought a ticket and are happy to transfer to the new date then you do not need to do anything. Your ticket will automatically be transfered to the new date.

 

I do not think I can attend the new date, what are my options?
If you are unable to attend then we have a Covid-19 refund policy in place. Please contact us to request a refund at refunds@hibanacon.co.uk

 

Can I get a refund?
Yes, please send an email to refunds@hibanacon.co.uk with your ticket ID and we will contact you to begin processing your request.
Please note that refund requests cannot be accepted via social media, we must recieve your request by email.

 

How long will the refund process take?
Once we have processed your request, it can take up to 14 days for the refund to arrive with you.

 

How long is the refund offer open for?
Refund requests will be accepted up until 31st December 2020.

 

I've booked accommodation already, what should I do?
Please contact your accommodation provider directly to discuss your options, Hibanacon is unable to offer you any assistance with this.

 

Are ticket sales open for 2021?
Yes, all ticket sales from this point are for the new date 2021.

 

I have submitted an event for Hibanacon, what will happen now?
Your event submission will automatically be transfered to our 2021 date. We will be in contact with event runners in due course to discuss what this means for your submission. For any specific question you may have about this, please contact us on events@hibanacon.co.uk

 

I had a vendors space reserved for Hibanacon Discovery 2020, what will happen now?
Your table will automatically be transfered to our new 2021 date. If you would like to make alternative arrangements, please contact social@hibanacon.co.uk

 

I have a question about the reschedule that isn't answered above, what should I do?
